The Issue

Our client had developed a new ‘easy to open’ cap for consumers who struggle with opening and closing packs.

The research was designed to identify and substantiate any claims that could be made about the new pack.

What we did

Quantitative CLT with eligible respondents; testing packs with both the new and current caps. The packs were assessed one at a time using a balanced sequential monadic design.

Both packs were assessed on: cap appearance, ease of opening and closing. After both packs had been assessed preference was established.

Outcome

The new cap achieved the success criteria and was recommended as a replacement for the current cap. The client was also able to make compelling claims based on the new caps performance versus current.
