Research Director

Simon is responsible for managing key client accounts for multinational FMCG brands, as well as generating new business and developing repeat business. He is also involved in driving many of PPL Insight’s key marketing and brand activities.

His role at PPL Insights includes overseeing the day-to-day requirements of multiple projects from briefing stage to full debrief. In professional terms, Simon’s greatest sense of achievement is being able to help clients develop successful concepts and products by providing clear and actionable commercial insights.

Simon joined PPL Insights in 2010 and has over 20 years’ research experience working in both continuous and ad hoc environments for companies such as MSTS, Mintel and Key Note.

Simon grew up in the Derbyshire Dales and is an English graduate. When not at work, he enjoys taking part in endurance-based challenges for charities such as Cancer Research, The British Heart Foundation and Help for Heroes.

Simon’s other extra-curricular interests include: personal fitness, posh nosh, art and lit, cooking, anything science related, 80’s indie music and Derby County FC.
