Client Services Director

Mark looks after the needs of several of PPL Insights’ clients, advising on and designing bespoke research solutions that meet their business and project objectives. His directorial responsibilities extend to managing the sensory department plus two consumer project teams. He is a huge advocate of the combined use of consumer research and sensory profiling to better understand consumer responses and help product developers improve their products.

He joined PPL Insights in 2008 and has over 30 years food and drink industry experience from both the client and agency sides. The first 12 years of his career were spent at the Milk Marketing Board and Dairy Crest before becoming an Independent Market Research Consultant working with a variety of food companies, industry bodies and research agencies. Prior to joining PPL Insights, Mark was a Director at MSTS.

Mark’s experience covers most food and drink markets, as well as personal care sectors such as toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorants and toilet tissue.

Mark is a Certified Member of the Market Research Society and has a degree in Economics & Geography. He is a long suffering West Ham supporter and fills any spare time that family life allows by making and painting models and entering them into major national and international competitions.
